WAXING

AKA Semi-Permanent Hair Removal...

Unlike shaving, waxing removes the hair from the root so that the hair takes longer to grow back, won’t grow back prickly, comes through soft and fine and can sometimes get more so over time with continued & regular waxing.

For the best results, waxing should be done every 4-6 weeks, as this is the average hair growth cycle, and means that your hair will be the right length for your appointment.

I use hot wax as well as the PhD Waxing System which is a completely hygienic and disposable way of waxing ensuring there is no cross-contamination between clients.

Half Leg Wax $45

Full Leg Wax $65

Bikini Wax $40

High Bikini  $55

Underarm Wax $25

Eyebrow Wax $30

Lip / Chin $25

What Would Prevent Me From Getting Waxed?

Contagious skin conditions will prevent us from waxing the affected area until the condition has completely cleared. If you are using skincare products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid or alpha hydroxyl acids of any kind, these can cause the skin to lift while waxing.

Another area of caution is aggressive exfoliation of the skin, such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels.

We are also unable to remove hair from skin that is sunburnt, chafed or broken, or skin that has been treated with steroid cream within the last 3 months. Keep in mind that it’s difficult to predict how skin will react, no matter how many precautions are taken. You should avoid making a waxing appointment one week before a menstrual cycle and after a spray tan, suntan or solarium treatment.

How Can I Avoid In-Growing Hairs?

Exfoliate the skin thoroughly to remove dead skin cells. Moisturise the skin every day. If the skin is supple, new growth can break through more easily reducing the risk of in-growing hairs and infection.

How Long Will The Results Last?

In most cases, you will see minimal re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. Continued waxing encourages slower, sparser re-growth.

How Often Should I Get Waxed?

We recommend that you come in every 4 -6 weeks.

Hot Waxing Aftercare

Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. hot baths, saunas for 48 hours after having a waxing treatment

Do not undertake any other skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a waxing treatment

Avoid friction from nylon material or tight clothing.

Keep skincare products to a minimum for 24 hours after waxing, then after 24 Hours it is vital that you use a good quality moisturiser

Avoid using perfumed body lotions or creams. To minimise any risk of infection always wash your hands before applying the lotion.

For long term improvements, book-in for regular treatments and do not shave between treatments

For in-growing hairs use an exfoliator.

I don’t perform Brazilian or Hollywood waxing
